Glowplete Privacy Policy

Version 1.2.0 ยท Effective date 2026-07-20

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Otterpaw Studio Pte. Ltd handles information in connection with Glowplete. It describes data stored locally by the app, data sent to the project-operated completion-analytics endpoint, and data that may be processed by third-party platform and advertising services.

Please read this Policy before using Glowplete. Agreeing to the User Agreement and acknowledging this Policy is not consent to personalized advertising or cross-app tracking. On iOS production-ad builds, the operating system may separately ask whether the app may use the device identifier to deliver and measure more relevant ads.

Scope and Responsibilities

This Policy applies to the Glowplete app distributed by Otterpaw Studio Pte. Ltd. It does not replace the privacy notices of an app store, operating-system provider, Google, an advertising partner, or a website you choose to visit.

Otterpaw Studio Pte. Ltd is responsible for the app-owned practices described here. Third parties may act under their own terms and privacy policies when they independently determine how their services process information.

Information Stored Locally by Glowplete

Glowplete stores a limited set of app data in its sandbox on your device:

The legal-acceptance file contains only document versions. The separate daily-share file contains only a local-day high-water value, claim day, and entitlement state. Neither file contains an acceptance timestamp, age, location, advertising identifier, UMP or ATT state, recipient list, share destination, or advertising consent string.

The app currently has no account, cloud save, or project-operated server acceptance ledger. Completion events are not placed in a local analytics queue or saved for later upload. The in-app Reset action does not clear the separate legal-acceptance file. Clearing app storage or uninstalling the app may remove locally stored data, subject to the operating system and backup settings.

Completion Analytics

When you successfully complete a level, Glowplete immediately sends one event to a project-operated completion-analytics endpoint. The request contains the event name glowplete_passlevel, the action value clk, and the displayed level number. The event payload does not contain an account ID, player profile, device or advertising identifier, precise location, age, puzzle-board contents, local progress file, or legal-acceptance record.

Like any Internet request, the receiving server, its hosting providers, and network intermediaries may process your IP address and ordinary connection metadata needed to route, secure, and diagnose the request, such as request time and protocol or header information. Glowplete does not add a local queue, retry failed requests, or persist the event for later upload. If the network request cannot be completed, the event is silently discarded.

We use this information to understand level completion and engagement, maintain and secure the analytics endpoint, and diagnose aggregate product issues. Glowplete does not use the event to make an automated decision that changes your gameplay access or advertising rewards.

Information Processed by Advertising Services

Configured Android and iOS builds include Google Mobile Ads through the Godot SDK Integrations AdMob plugin. Deliberate native release builds use the configured production rewarded-ad units. When the SDK is initialized and used, Google and advertising partners may automatically collect or process information such as:

Google states that these categories may be used for advertising, analytics, fraud prevention, security, and service performance. The exact data depends on SDK version, platform, device settings, region, selected advertising features, and future production configuration.

For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Purposes

We use app-owned local data to provide puzzle progress, restore unfinished play, apply settings, guide first-time play, determine whether current legal versions have been acknowledged, diagnose local failures during development, and maintain the app. We use the project-owned completion event for the purposes described in the Completion Analytics section.

The advertising integration provides an optional rewarded-Hint flow on configured Android and iOS levels. Google and its partners may process SDK data for delivering and measuring advertisements, analytics, fraud prevention, security, diagnostics, and service improvement as described in their notices and the applicable configuration.

Production Ads and Privacy Controls

Development, automated-test, and native benchmark builds use Google's official test advertisement units. Deliberate Android and iOS release builds use the configured production rewarded-ad units and send requests without an app-level regional allowlist or denylist.

The app configures delayed app measurement on Android and iOS so Google Mobile Ads measurement is postponed until the existing SDK initialization path. Delayed measurement is not privacy consent and does not prevent all processing after initialization.

On iOS production-ad builds, after the in-app legal acknowledgement and before Google Mobile Ads initialization, Glowplete requests App Tracking Transparency authorization through the installed AdMob integration. Granting or denying that system request both allow the optional ad flow to continue. Development, test, and benchmark builds do not request ATT at runtime.

This version does not invoke Google's User Messaging Platform, another consent management platform, a custom regional consent flow, a privacy-options screen, or a manual non-personalized-ad selector. The app does not promise that the absence of those mechanisms makes any request non-personalized or compliant with every platform or jurisdiction.

Recipients and Service Providers

App-owned local progress, settings, legal-acceptance versions, and daily share-Hint state remain in the app sandbox unless your operating system, device backup, or distribution platform handles them under its own settings.

The project-operated completion-analytics endpoint and the hosting or network providers that support it receive the completion request and associated connection information described above. They process that information to provide, protect, maintain, and diagnose the endpoint on our behalf or under their applicable terms.

On Android and iOS, Glowplete uses the MIT-licensed community godot-share plugin to open the operating system's share sheet with the app name, localized invitation text, a landing URL, and a static Glowplete image. On supported Web browsers, Glowplete uses the Web Share API to share the title, text, and landing URL without an image. The destination app or website you select receives that payload under its own terms and privacy policy. Glowplete uses the platform callback only to recognize a completed system handoff; it does not verify recipient delivery, opening, or clicking. Canceling or failing the share does not create a Hint entitlement.

When the Google Mobile Ads SDK is initialized, information described in this Policy may be transmitted to or processed by Google and advertising or measurement partners involved in providing, securing, measuring, and improving the service. Operating-system providers and app stores may also process device, purchase-free distribution, diagnostic, or account information under their own notices.

We do not sell the local legal-acceptance file. This statement does not characterize every advertising-provider activity under every regional definition of "sale" or "sharing"; those classifications must be assessed before production advertising.

International Transfers

Otterpaw Studio Pte. Ltd is based in Singapore. The completion-analytics endpoint, its hosting or network providers, Google, and other service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Privacy and data-protection laws in those countries may differ.

Where Otterpaw Studio Pte. Ltd is responsible for an international transfer, we will use measures required by applicable law. Third-party providers describe their own transfer mechanisms in their privacy notices.

Retention

Local progress, settings, legal-document versions, and daily share-Hint state remain on your device until changed by normal app use, removed by an applicable app control, cleared through device settings, or deleted when the app is uninstalled, subject to platform backup behavior. The app keeps at most the bounded unfinished-board snapshots defined by its progress system. A daily share entitlement expires when a later effective local day is observed and is not banked.

Project-operated completion events and related connection logs are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to analyze product engagement, secure and diagnose the service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. They are then deleted or aggregated where reasonably practicable. Retention may vary where applicable law, security investigations, backups, or technical operations require a different period.

Third-party SDK providers retain information according to their own policies, legal obligations, configurations, and service needs. Before production advertising, retention representations must be rechecked against the exact SDK and store configuration.

Security

Glowplete uses the operating system's app sandbox and validated, atomic local-file replacement with backups for supported app-owned records. Completion events are sent to the project-operated endpoint over HTTPS. Google states that data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using transport-layer security.

No system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining reasonable security of your device and platform account. If we become aware of a breach for which notification is required, we will take steps required by applicable law.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request information, access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, withdrawal of a consent previously given, or a complaint to a regulator. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions and may differ depending on the responsible organization and type of data.

Because the app has no account, we may be unable to identify a particular completion event or retrieve a device's local file remotely. You can manage local data through applicable app and device controls. The in-app Reset action resets the scoped gameplay/settings data described by that control but intentionally does not withdraw or erase legal acknowledgement. For a request concerning project-operated completion analytics, contact us and provide only the information reasonably necessary to locate and verify the relevant record; we will handle verifiable requests as required by applicable law.

For advertising or platform data, use the controls and request channels provided by Google, your device operating system, and the applicable app store. You may also contact us using the details below. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to understand and verify a request without collecting more than necessary.

Children and Age-Related Treatment

Glowplete does not ask for or persist a player's age and does not provide age-dependent gameplay. App-store audience classification and advertising SDK age-treatment configuration are separate release responsibilities.

If you lack legal capacity under applicable law, a parent or guardian should review the app and this Policy. Store audience classification and any child-directed or under-age advertising treatment remain separate release responsibilities.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy when the app, SDKs, legal requirements, or our practices change. The app identifies the version and effective date. If a change requires renewed acknowledgement, Glowplete will present the updated version before normal entry.

The current completion-analytics, production-ad, ATT, and share behavior is described above. Later material changes to those practices may require another policy update and renewed acknowledgement.
